Our journey began with the Shetland Sheepdog. While a biased opinion, they are some of the best dogs. Unfortunately, they are also a very unhealthy breed with a short lifespan. Thus, we began our search for a fun companion.

Our first gal, is a smaller female named Kisu. Thanks to a very helpful and insightful breeder (Mijikai Kensha), this beautiful female was entrusted to us. She has a very strong prey drive, but her love of cats seems to make others question such a thing. She enjoys, hiking, boating, camping, walking and in general, loves adventures! She has traveled to Maryland, Missouri, and Illinois. She is always complemented on her mild-manners and people love to stop and ask about her.

From our experience, the Kai is an all around companion dog, and is always looking to join you on the next adventure. They do best with a human that understands their companion. This breed relies heavily on teamwork. This may be your dog, but it is also your partner and friend.
